Good morning everybody, just wanted to share what happened in the prisons I went into this week.
God provided the funds to be able to get to Marquette Branch Prison on Wednesday. We did not have the money until I had to leave to go up there, praise God!
The men that go to the church service inside Marquette Branch Prison are predominantly not Christian so sometimes they try to disrupt the service. This last Wednesday was no exception. A guard who was sitting in the service was the one to quiet him down but usually I just try to ignore the person. Sometimes you can't ignore what they are saying because it is either so inappropriate or it can be a question from their heart. The man who disrupted the service this time has no filter for his mouth so I ignored what he said.
After the service one of the inmates came up to me and said that he really appreciates that I come in. This man always brings his Bible and I think that he is one of the few Christians that go. I know that this man prays for the men inside and I do too. Please join me in prayer for revival!
As I was being escorted out of the prison the guard also thanked me for coming in and said that he really needed to hear the message! Praise God! Sometimes you just don't know who are really listening.
The Bible study at Ojibway Correctional on Friday went well. We are currently studying the book of Hebrews. The men who come to the study at Ojibway seem to really want to dig into the Word! A lot of good questions are being asked. The men that come to this study are really committed to Jesus and are being transformed just like it says in Romans 12:2 "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what isthat good and acceptable and perfect will of God." It is a awesome opportunity to see what God is doing in the hearts and minds of these men!
